Bio

Bridget McFadden is a book lover and writer. With over fifteen years of professional experience in communications, content creation, and editing, she is skilled at interpreting technical content for a general audience, and can deliver complex information in simple terms. She has worked across various industries, including international risk consulting and higher education with an emphasis on healthcare technology. She has a BA in English from the University of Notre Dame, an MA in Humanities and Social Thought from New York University, and a Business Communications Certificate from the Cornell SC Johnson College of Business.

Bridget also writes fiction and is active in her local writing and publishing communities, including All Ways Writing of Nyack. She has attended the Kettle Pond Writers’ Conference in the Adirondacks, and the Black Fly Writer’s Retreat at the Schoodic Institute sponsored by the Maine Writers & Publishers Alliance, and adores the magic that happens when a bunch of creative people get together in a place that is almost too beautiful to write. Her fiction has appeared in BlazeVoxEntropy, and The Platform Review. She co-founded Chum Bucket Press with Gina Giambalvo, an independent press that publishes illustrated experimental fiction.

She lives and works in the Hudson Valley, New York, and spends her free time climbing the mountains of the Northeast.
